The market yesterday opened flat to weak and after edging up a bit in early morning trades slipped back and remained range bound with negative bias. The market sentiment is said to be affected following China’s surprise move to raise interest rates late Tuesday coupled with Coal India’s initial share offering. Both the indices yesterday settled below the psychological 20K and 6K levels amid dented sentiment. The Sensex, shed 0.56 percent or 110 points to 19,872, with 21 of its stocks losing ground. It flip-flopped during the day, having risen as much as 0.5 percent.

Nifty future after facing strong resistance near 6080 levels resulted in a strong sell off and closed near the days low. Nifty future may now further move down towards 5980 to 5940 levels if it trades below 5990 levels. Support for nifty future is at 5940/5910 levels and resistance is at 6090/6140 levels.
